This bible belonged to the Ahern family, whose names are inscribed on the inside, back cover. The Aherns were active members of the Saint Mary parish; Michael A. Ahern was president of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Mary from the 1920s until his death in 1952. This family bible was found in the attic of a house on North Patrick Street.
