This ceremonial sword belonged to the first Grand Knight at Saint Mary in Alexandria. Founded in 1882 by Blessed Michael McGivney, the Knights of Columbus are a Catholic fraternal service order. This sword was used by the head of the chapter at Saint Mary during various services and ceremonies in which the Knights of Columbus participated.
